Brandon F. Jones, Esquire

Meet Brandon, our Founder. Born in Wisconsin and graduating from University of Wisconsin—Madison, he then went on to earn his Juris Doctor with a concentration in Litigation at NSU Law. While in law school and thereafter, he worked for a prominent medium sized south Florida personal injury law firm. After his experience as a “plaintiff’s lawyer,” he then gained invaluable experience litigating at large automobile insurance defense firm. After learning both plaintiff and defense strategies, he formed Jones Law Group, P.A. and its subsidiary, Traffic Ticket Rhino, to become a leading, modern-day law firm. Licensed to practice law and litigate in other state and federal jurisdictions, Attorney Jones has carefully defended thousands of cases prosecuted by the State of Florida since 2011. Today he remains equally driven by challenging courtroom and business arenas that are demanding of strict focus, confidence, and attention to detail.

Zachary D. Armocida, Esquire

Meet Zach, our Litigator.  Born in New York and graduating from Indiana University, he then went on to attend Stetson University College of Law while he worked as a Certified Legal Intern at the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office.  There, he was able to gain invaluable trial preparation technique and jury trial experience before even becoming licensed to practice law.  After passing the Florida Bar, he was offered a full-time position at the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State Attorney where he handled thousands of criminal offenses of varying degrees including felonies, Driving Under the Influence (DUI), and hundreds of misdemeanors such as battery. Attorney Armocida has taken hundreds of cases to trial, has handled complex motion hearings, and also has experience in handling domestic violence and injunctions.  His background handling cases from both a prosecution and defense perspective allows him to serve our clients to the fullest degree and maximum potential both inside and outside of the courtroom everyday.

James A. Thomas, Of Counsel

Meet Jimmy, our Of Counsel.  A Tampa native, Attorney Thomas’ experience rivals no other in town.  After becoming a skilled United States Marine Corp sniper, Mr. Thomas joined Tampa Police Department as a DUI investigator, later excelling to become an undercover operations officer.  In his final years with TPD, Mr. Thomas was a certified traffic homicide investigator and accident reconstructionist.  Mr. Thomas then took his diverse experience with him to Stetson Law School where he graduated from in 1996.  He then quickly began a career in defending drivers who had received commonly written traffic tickets scaling all the way up to vehicular manslaughter. Mr. Thomas has taken more than hundreds of intense trials to jury verdict, including first-degree felonies such as leaving the scene of an accident with death.

Todd Metke

Meet Todd, our Office Manager.  Born in Wisconsin and graduating from the University of Wisconsin—Stout in 1981, for several years he worked in the financial and real estate industries.  Todd is driven by his passion for business and his commitment to exceeding client expectations.  Keeping up everyday with the operations of the office, Todd ensures that the office runs smoothly, and also maintains the firm’s accounts payable and receivable.

Daisy Trujillo

Meet Daisy, our newest team-member.  Born in Chicago, Daisy came to Tampa 14-years ago.   For much of her career, she has dedicated herself to working in the customer service industry handling an array of complex issues that a diverse client base proposes.  She remains committed every day to assisting each and every caller.  Fluent in Spanish and English, she is eager to help those who have questions regarding their open or past case with our office, or those looking for new legal representation.

Maggie Ares

Meet Maggie, our Senior Legal Assistant.  Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Chicago, Maggie came to Tampa 16-years ago.  Thereafter, Maggie worked for the 13th Judicial Circuit Clerk of Court of Florida, inside and outside of the courtroom.  Her 8-years of combined experience with Clerk’s Office and court process better serves our clients every day.  Fluent in English and Spanish, she assists with client consults, file creation and management, and preparation of legal pleadings for electronic filing.
